Sentinel from "The Matrix"
Trilogy
The Sentinel is the machine used by the
Machines to hunt down the last surviving humans in the world. Usually operating
in groups of five, these highly agile and fearsome creatures have over fourteen
tentacles to sense, grapple on, and rip apart human hoverships. The Sentinel
also has eight claws to rip apart human beings and stable itself as it uses its
laser to pierce the hull of hoverships.
The Sentinel was my idiot idea after seeing Reloaded in
theatres. I started making it and got it done a few weeks before BrickFest,
where it was seen playing on Adrian Drake's Nebby. After buying over 90 tentacle
segments on Bricklink... this model came in around $20 cost to make, not bad,
plus it turned out all pretty like. This is only one of my growing collection of
Sentinel memorabilia. I have a smaller action figure one, and another larger
barely-fits-on-my monitor one as well.
